  • Steve Dreyer is a fine art photographer based in New York City and Eastern Long Island.  He has worked with traditional film and digital processing for over 30 years. He speaks and writes passionately about composing what he calls “Urbanscapes” – images of and inside cities, landscapes, and street photographs. He also creates composites, in which he combines multiple images that reflect his artistic vision of a scene, real or imagined.

The “Urbanscapes” series of photographs have a special, non-photographic painterly feel to them. They are created by composing a photograph and then adding texture using a digital “pen” on a drawing tablet. The printing technique employs archival pigment inks on textured paper to add a special look and feel to the images.

    See Urbanscape images here.

Steve published his New York City black and white images in a fine art photography book, entitled “New York Light & Shadow.” The 12” x 12” dust cover and linen wrapped edition is available in bookstores and galleries with Gallery 71 hosting a book signing on October 5, 2021 to accompany 30 limited edition, framed prints available for viewing and purchase. The very special and popular black and white images are iconic and moody in nature.
