ROTHKO INSPIRATIONS
Mark Rothko’s paintings have been the subject of museum exhibits for several decades. Their simplicity and use of color was the inspiration for the backgrounds in these images.
These images are made by compositing sections of photographs and editing them with a digital pen to create the color combinations and textures for the background. Images of a trees were merged with the background using masking techniques.
The limited edition prints in this series are made on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® fine art paper. They are presented with a white border for the title, number and artist signature.
