INSPIRED BY ROTHKO
I recently exhibited a series of photographs at the Works Gallery in New York City that was inspired by Mark Rothko, an artist whose paintings are well-known throughout the art world.
"Falling Leaves" was made by compositing sections of photographs and editing them with a digital pen to create the color combinations and textures for the background. An image of a tree was merged with the background using masking techniques.
All of the photographs in this series were made with this technique.
The prints are sold in square sizes with a white border for the signature and number of the limited edition. You can mouse over the images in the slideshow to see additional information. If you choose to add a 2” mat and frame, the total dimension will be approximately 20 inches square. The unmatted and unframed print is sent to you in a tube, with a certificate of authenticity.
